While top CEOs are making all-time high revenues, Justin Trudeau and Pierre Poilievre refuse to make them pay what they owe.
Canadians feel like they can’t get ahead no matter how hard they work. What’s makes it more frustrating is that top CEOs, like Loblaw’s Galen Weston, make more than 400 times the average employee wage. Tony Staffieri, Rogers CEO, made $13,615,047 - 164 times the average employee.
Justin Trudeau and Pierre Poilievre refuse to tackle this unfairness, they want to tip the scales in favour of the rich and powerful even more. But we believe Ottawa should work for you – not the ultra-wealthy.
Jagmeet Singh's plan will combat corporate greed and end outrageous CEO pay by taxing large companies that pay their top executives at least 50 times more than their average workers. The NDP will use that money to make life more affordable for working people.
More needs to be done to stack the deck in favour of Canadians who deserve it. Sign on to help end outrageous CEO pay.
