Donald Trump is picking a fight with the wrong nation.
As Canadians, we take care of one another and our neighbours - that’s just who we are. That’s why we’re so proud of our universal health care. It’s also why Canada’s firefighters sprang into action to help control the devastating wildfires in California.
But don’t confuse our Canadian kindness with weakness. We won’t sit by while Donald Trump threatens good Canadian jobs, and threatens to drive high prices even higher.
There’s someone threatening our way of life here in Canada, too: Pierre Poilievre. Trump’s billionaire lackey, Elon Musk, has threatened Canadian sovereignty calling for our annexation. He has also endorsed Poilievre. Why? Because billionaires know that they’ll get even richer on the backs of working-class Canadians with Poilievre’s Conservatives.
It’s time to fight for our country. All of us. Together.
