Statement by Welland MP Malcolm Allen on the death of former Ontario NDP MPP Peter Kormos

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Peter Kormos, former Ontario NDP MPP, minister, and most recently, member of the Niagara Regional Council. He cast a large influence over politics at the Ontario Legislature for many years.

On behalf of federal New Democrats, I extend our sincere condolences to his family, and particularly his mother and his siblings. Peter will be deeply missed.

He always fought for what he believed in and was a strong voice and formidable representative for his constituents, his region and his province.

Peter embodied the values of public service and social justice that New Democrats are proud to share. He will be sorely missed by the whole extended NDP family.
