ICYMI: Justin Trudeau’s climate failure

Jagmeet Singh condemned Justin Trudeau’s record of climate failure during the second segment of tonight’s Leaders’ Debate.

Trudeau talks a lot about climate change but he has handed big oil and gas companies billions of dollars in fossil fuel subsidies and let big polluters off the hook.

Instead of leading Canada towards a cleaner future, he’s taking us backwards:

• Justin Trudeau has missed every emissions target he set for Canada. He even missed the ones set by the Conservative government.
• Trudeau has made Canada the only G7 country whose emissions have gone up since the Paris agreement.
• He has set the weakest 2030 targets in the G7.

Jagmeet is the only leader who is going to set ambitious goals and achieve them. He will end fossil fuel subsidies, create good jobs in a low-carbon economy and help make clean choices more affordable for families.
