Our kids shouldn’t suffer because the government refuses to take action.
When kids are sick, parents would do anything to take away their pain. Medicines that fight our kids’ fevers and infections should be easy to get. But Canadian store shelves are bare.
No one should have to watch their little one suffer waiting for care in an overcrowded hospital ER. But at children’s hospitals across the country, every bed is full. The wait times are agonizing, and surgeries are being delayed.
It shouldn’t be like this in Canada.
Instead of pointing fingers, the Liberal government should be moving mountains. As government, the NDP would be tackling the crisis in children’s hospitals and the kids medicine shortage.
We need to make sure Canadian health care is there for our babies now, and as they grow up, when they need it.
Jagmeet and our NDP team are fighting for Justin Trudeau to take urgent action to tackle the crisis in children’s hospitals and get more kids’ medicine on the shelves now.
