Alarming allegations regarding India's interference in Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives and its attacks on Canadian sovereignty must be investigated by Parliament.
Disturbing new allegations state that a Conservative MP, Arpan Khanna might be under investigation by the CSIS for having potentially received support from the government of India in a nomination race.
The allegations are particularly concerning, given recent media reports that India interfered and favoured Pierre Poilievre during the 2022 Conservative leadership race. Arpan Khanna also served as Pierre Poilievre’s Ontario co-chair during this leadership race, a race Pierre Poilievre ended up winning.
Further, this comes just a few months after the Prime Minister’s outgoing national security advisor Jody Thomas warned that India is among the top sources of foreign interference in Canada and a few months after Parliament revealed serious allegations that India has been involved in the killing of a Canadian, on Canadian soil.
Join the NDP in calling for a special parliamentary investigation into the allegation of India's involvement in Arpan Khanna winning the Conservative nomination in Oxford and into other allegations of Inia - a hostile foreign actor - interfereing in Poilievre's Conservative party.
