When our loved ones fall ill, we shouldn’t worry about whether they can afford to get the care they need. But today, too many of the health care services we need – like access to prescription medications, dental care, and mental health coverage – fall outside Medicare, leaving families facing huge out-of-pocket costs.

For years, Liberal and Conservative governments have only made things worse by cutting health care transfers and refusing to expand access to care – all while their powerful friends and corporations continue to push for privatization.

Canadians deserve leaders who are on their side and who are committed to putting the health of Canadians first.

We would also introduce a national universal pharmacare program that covers every Canadian and saves families more than $500 a year – making sure every Canadian can fill their prescription without having to reach into their pocket.
