Statement from Tom Mulcair on Paris terrorist attack

“New Democrats are shocked, horrified and saddened by this terrible attack against democracy and freedom of the press. We stand with the world in condemning this senseless violence.‎

On behalf of all New Democrats, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of those killed, and to the people of France.

Freedom of speech is a fundamental and universal value. We will never be silenced by cowardly acts like these. “ ‎
